  • The MAME list updating now does a more thorough search for recommended and games in series.
  • In addition, when updating the MAME list - MAME32 favorites and custom lists are loaded at the start and any games in these lists are now forced to be present, overriding any other filters.
  • There is a new "remove duplicates/clean list" feature which defaults to on if using a game filter and clones. This produces a clean list of games for MAME, and is more like what I intended from the beginning for GameEx MAME support. Supporting clones but a filtered list.
  • Video box art downloading was broken and is now fixed.
  • Another new feature is now GameEx will try to download a description for DVDs and Videos.
  • When in thumbnail view, video and DVD preview thumbs will be created even if the preview videos setting is off. In addition if it cannot create a preview thumb it will not try again.
  • The preview videos feature has been extended to allow not previewing for DVDs and large video files (ie HD).
  • When selecting ebooks, pictures or videos, GameEx will now navigate directly to within the folder if you only have one path setup.
  • Note: If you are upgrading, the new features are configurable.

Tak chyba trochę z zaskoczenia Shadow zaprezentował oficjalny kolejny numerek wersji tego emulatora.
Dla niewiedzących Jpcsp jest emulatorem konsolki PSP napisany w języku java.

    A new version for jpcsp has just released . This version include a lot of fixes and speedups , more games will work better , compatibility has increased a lot and you can figure out more by yourself by d/ling it from our download section.

    For the time being only win32 version released but more releases for win64 and linux will follow.

    A couple of weeks ago, I started a new driver with Grull Osgo for a very rare IGS platform.
    The involved game is "Five Clown", and is running in a dual 6502 CPU + AY8910 + OKIM6295 system. Main program, graphics and sound samples are encrypted.

    Fortunately, I managed to get the proper decryption algorithm for each part. The sound system is tied to quad and octal-latch IC's, so is not mapped to the CPU directly...

    Except for some sound related misterious writes, that need to be figured out, the game is working properly. Here some snaps:

    The driver is quite complete. Still need to trace code for some DIP switches, and solve these misterious writes...

    07/03 - DSP Emulator 0.9b4 Released. This final release added TMS-32010 CPU, and one of my favorites arcades Wardner.

    01/03 - Added more M680X opcodes, added drivers for: Spelunker, Spelunker II, Lode Runner, Lode Runner II and Knuckle Joe. Fixed some small bugs.

    This is the last week of WIP, this weekend the final relase of beta 4.

    And now some coding tips: Some days ago reading some forums, I read that DSP consumes so much virtual memory, and testing much deeper I get a surprise... DSP reserves 1,5Gb of virtual RAM! (but doesn't uses it). I compiled DSP with Delphi 2010 and... the same problem! I tested a 'hello world' program and... the same occurs! It's incledible! Delphi reserves a huge virtual memory space without use! This is a Delphi bug, because compiling DSP with Lazarus everything it's OK. I will do more testing, but any help about this is wellcome.

    23/02 - Fixed some bugs on M6800 CPU, added ADPCM to KungFu Master (sound it's more clean now)

Autorzy właśnie wraz z wersją r5172 skopiowali katalogi projektu aby rozpocząć testowanie nad jego stabilną wersją.

    Whats New ?

    I'm making this unplanned release, because things never go as planned, and
    all my stuff is going to be in storage for a while (again). Due to that
    thing they call 'real life' I have probably forgotten most of what I've
    changed since the last build, and there may be stuff I have only partially
    implemented and forgotten about.

    But I'll list what I remember, and I'm sure you guys (and girls) will find
    stuff I forgot about, or broke - because you rock.

    Most of what I've done is by user request. PLEASE LET ME KNOW OF ANY MAJOR
    PROBLEMS IMMEDIATELY.

  • Swapped SMS buttons
  • Added an option (that I couldn't think of a suitable name for) to show the full SMS area when running GG games
  • Fixed a couple of non-working SMS games (auto disable of some features, e.g. YM2413, which would cause them to crash if present)
  • Fixed some other minor SMS issues
  • GG games that are really SMS games in a GG cart should now auto boot in SMS mode
  • A couple of 32X tweaks that will only matter to homebrew coders currently
  • Fixed a couple of SegaCD games that didn't boot/run - if you find any more, please do let me know - as far as I know, there are none
  • Command line with -scd or -mcd and no filename will now cause Fusion to start up in 'Boot SegaCD' mode
  • Added support for the (pretty useless) SF7000 floppy disk interface for the SC3000 - you need the SF7000 IPL ROM for this to work
  • SC3000 keyboard can now be enabled from the options menu
  • A few sound tweaks

    Regular scheduled programming will resume as soon as possible.

Byuu zaprezentował kolejną odsłonę swojego emulatora konsoli SNES. Jak na razie w wersji beta, ale zapewne szybko dostaniemy wersję stabilną.

    Please keep in mind that bsnes v060 remains the current stable release. v061
    has been released as a work-in-progress build. As such, it is only available at
    Google Code.



    I am releasing this WIP to allow the public to test out and comment on the
    new XML mapping system, as well as the integration of mightymo's cheat code
    database into the cheat editor. I would greatly appreciate feedback on these
    two on the forums.



    There are some important issues with this release. The biggest is the move to
    C++0x. This requires GCC 4.4.0 or newer to compile, thus it is not currently
    possible to build this on OS X using Xcode. Nor would it be possible on certain
    BSDs or older distros. If you have an older compiler, please stick with v060, or
    use a binary release where available.



    Another issue is that TDM/GCC 4.4.1 for Windows crashes with an internal
    compiler error when attempting to generate a profile for the DSP-1 module. This
    is a bug in the compiler, and not in the code itself. The workaround is to
    simply omit profile-guided optimization for this one object.



    Lastly, there's also a known bug in the memory mapping. If you load an SA-1
    game, SuperFX games will not load properly afterward unless you restart the
    emulator. I'm looking into the cause now, but it didn't seem serious enough to
    hold up a WIP release.



    So, yes. If you want a good gaming experience that's been fully tested and
    stable, please stick with v060. If you want to see some bleeding edge features,
    I'd appreciate feedback on v061. Thanks for reading this.

    aktualizacja do wersji 61.01 beta

    bsnes v061.01 beta released 2010-03-08

    Found the cause of the issue breaking SuperFX games after loading SA-1 games. Seems the XML mapping tree wasn't being cleared. It's also not a good idea to use bsnes/ as the folder name when the Makefile generates a binary by the same name in the same directory, so back to src/ for the main emulator it is.

    With those fixes, this release should be fully stable; but again my intentions are to keep v060 as the stable release for a while.

    Nie jest to prawdziwy "news dnia", gdyż chciałem tylko zaktualizować
    informacje na stronie głównej.

    Z ciekawszych informacji na temat DolphinWX należy wymienić:
    - usunięcie kilku "wycieków pamięci" (memory leaks)
    - rozpoczęcie prac nad wykorzystaniem instrukcji: SSE4, SSE4.1 i SSE4.2

    Changelog:
  • Shut down the video software plugin without closing dolphin in Windows. Fixed a memory leak.
  • Reverted the comparison function to r5159 and rewrote map to hash_map. I confirmed that the code can be compiled and run under Visual Studio 2008. And I confirmed the code can be compiled under gcc 4.4.0 (mingw). I could not confirm that the code run under linux.
  • Rewrote a object-comparison code using a standard function. It's a tiny refactoring.
  • reenable load store on linux (seems to work for most people).
  • Add a universal option to the osx flag, does not work yet since scons strips out the -arch flag that it thinks is a duplicate, add to linker flags since cross compiling on OSX was failing since it was trying to link everything as the wrong arch.   • Color vu0 console logs differently than vu1.

    (Had to be done, many recent code changes require new state handling, and it was too broken)
  • microVU: Finished most of the caching/memory model rewrite (whats left is mostly just tweaking/cleanup...), mVU should be back to stable status now afaik.

    With this rewrite, God of War 1/2 games don't constantly recompile and play a lot more smoother on mVU than they did before; this was one of my goals with the rewrite as i always hated how crappy GoW ran with mVU.

    Also a nice big noticeable change, pcsx2's memory footprint was reduced by around ~170 mb! microVU was taking up a lot of memory because it made GoW games run better to have a huge rec-cache with the old model, but now thats not needed anymore.

    Big optimization, reorganization of the code to be more coherent.
    Now the Bitmap of "No Image" is created once. Fixed crash on opening the bitmap. Now the program change the GSDX window icon, with its own.
  • GSDumpGUI : Added CRC detection for dumps. Added some renderer override functionality for fast testing. (F2 to shuffle)
  • GSDumpGUI : Added the "clear log on start" and the "select the last line of the log whenever new data arrive".
  • mVU: work-in-progress cache and memory model rewrite. currently not 100% stable, this is mainly a backup before i do more big changes...
  • SPU2-X: Improved fix for wave recoding crashes; using thread-safe mutex locks. :)
  • Vif - Partially removed some hack. Comment if this breaks anything.
  • GSdx:
    - The earlier FFX fix killed fmv in Xenosaga 2. Hacked up a bit more now! :p
    - Few more CRC (Note: I will look at GoW 2 once I have time and dumps, not before!)
  • SPU2-X : The safe_delete on the WaveDump wasn't "safe" enough and was causing the error on end of wav dump. Test it and tell me if it works fine now. (F12 is the key for start-end)
  • Gsdx : Added scaler x5 and x6 (the maximum available, no other values are possible as the limit for texture/render target is 4096x4096 (probably some new card/API support more, but we need compatibility) and with x6 we are at 3840x3072). It is VERY gpu intensive, use it with extreme care, it may give heavy slowdown. :P
  • Fixed the capture video functionality of GSDX. Let's hope I'll make bositman happy with this. :D It was a series of very old bug.
    1) After the passage to the WX system the CoInitialize was not anymore called on the GS thread causing the Filter enumeration on DirectShow to fail.
    2) After the "MFC Free" commit of Gabest, if you selected the Uncompressed
    functionality a nullpointer exception trigger (as there is no filter for that)
    3) Strangely there was no code path to connect the source with the mux when Uncompressed was selected (without an encoder in the middle). I added it. Test it and report problem. I already know there is a problem with the closing of the sound recording, but that's a PCSX2 problem, not a GSDX one.

      Incremental progress on Namco System 23 and friends continues. Got Rapid River to drop into attract mode, with these 2D graphics (and music and sound f/x): In other news, I found the coin input on Time Crisis 2 and was able to start a game, although without the 3D there’s not much there.

      and I have gotten farther with Namco System 23 and derivatives – most of the games now boot past the self-test. The original Final Furlong will actually drop into attract mode, although the only graphics visible is the blinking “Insert 2 Coins” message. Music and horsey sound effects play though. Time Crisis 2 drops into the test menu now, so we need to get the controls hooked up next…

    W zeszłym roku na forum emulatora zsnes pojawił się wątek oraz pierwsza próba napisania emulatora konsoli SNES w języku java. Teraz ukazała się kolejna odsłona tego emulatora, która działa już znacznie lepiej (m.in. jest już dźwięk).

      Currently looking (again) at the Multi Amenity Cassette System, a Japanese Arcade System developed by I’Max in 1995. First off, I’ve removed the existing hacks in the driver and implemented BIOS support and basic BIOS/cart ROM bankswitch.

      First effect of this is improved logic in Kisekae Mahjong, that boots, runs some attract mode and it’s playable until it resets in the middle of the gameplay (still investigating on it):

    Ostatnio coś autorzy wracają do swoich dawnych projektów i dobrze!. Tym razem po niecałych 6 latach przypomniał sobie o swoim emulatorze autor Jum'a 52 i postanowił zrobić aktualizację;).
    Jum52 to emulator atarowskiej konsoli 5200.

    Nie zauważyłem tego poprzednio, ale Toni przeskoczył numerek wersji na 2.1.0;)


      Beta 14:

      - old non-shader direct3d mode is back (if you have really old card)
      - do not create big tiled overlay texture if overlay texture size is same as original image size (hardware did not have texture size restrictions), sampler can then do the tiling automatically without seams (only if shader 2.0+)
      - always align overlay mask top/left corner
      - updated about links (back2roots not removed, probably comes back sooner or later..)
      - RTG vblank interrupts didn't work in all situations (older bug, guru when switching to RTG mode)
      - fixed incorrect colors in some RTG modes (both DD and D3D)
      - fixed major (in some situations) JIT performance loss introduced in b8
      - READ THIS: You MUST delete old winuae.fx and winuae_old.fx and use new versions included with this beta
